Log the bad nights in one tap, see the pattern in weeks

One tap logs the moment. A 12-week heatmap shows the pattern. One button copies a report your clinician can use. Free, no app to install, no account.

Works in this browser, right now. Your data never leaves it.

Why another insomnia diary?

Sleep apps want to live on your wrist and grade your every night with a score. But often the clinically useful question is simpler: how many bad nights, and do they cluster? TapFlare lets you mark a bad night in one tap — the next morning, no wearable required — and turns months of taps into a pattern you can show someone.

How it works

1Tap when it happensThe big button records the date and time. That's the whole job.
2Refine if you likeSeverity (mild / moderate / severe) and a short note are one optional tap away.
3Show the patternHeatmap, time-of-day chart, and a copy-paste report for your appointment.

What your clinician actually wants from a diary

Sleep clinicians distinguish transient insomnia (clustered around stressors) from chronic patterns (three-plus bad nights a week for months). The heatmap answers exactly this. Note-tag the obvious suspects — “deadline”, “late coffee”, “travel” — and the picture sharpens further. Bring the report to the appointment; it beats “I sleep badly, I think?” by a mile.

Questions

Morning or night — when do I log?

Morning after. One tap for “last night was bad”, optional severity for how bad. Never log from bed — screens at 3am are the enemy.

Is this a sleep tracker like a smartwatch?

No, and deliberately so. Wearables estimate sleep stages; TapFlare records your own judgment of the night. For the frequency-and-clustering question, your judgment is the clinically standard input.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. Browser-local only, no account, copy a backup when you think of it.
